A host of colorful activities were spread all around Maryam Island during the long weekend following Eagle Hills’ participation in the UAE’s celebration of the nation’s 48th National Day on December 2. As early as 10am, the Maryam Island Sales Centre was filled with families looking to enjoy the variety of events featuring the rich Emirati culture and heritage.
Parents and children reveled in traditional cuisines, arts and live entertainment, including performances of stilt walkers and the Ayallah dancers. Kids also took part in various outdoor activities such as camel rides, photo opportunities with a falcon and bounced in several games and giant inflatable toys.
The workshop area was bustling with face painting of the UAE flag’s colors, handprint on canvas, and calligraphy, including a wall allowing guests to paint the UAE Flag. A dedicated Arabic tent also featured traditional bread making and henna designing. The fun continues throughout this winter, so keep yourself updated!
